Seven Best Ways to Spend a Rainy Day

A rainy day is likely to bum you out or ruin your plans--- BUT if you think about all the things you can do on a rainy day it would surely soften the blow. Here are my seven best ways to spend a rainy day.

1. Crack a window and take a nap. If your not a napper then grab a book or magazine-- sitting and listening to the rain is the best way to relax.

2. Go to the movies. I am a huge movie fan, but if theater tickets are too pricy you can always get some friends together and watch a favorite DVD or rent a flick

3. Take a field trip. It may not be fun to drive in the rain but I'm sure there is a part of your town or city you have yet to explore. Go check out that new museum or visit a new resturant or store. I think we often forget to take advantage of what's nearby.

4. Eat. A rainy day is the perfect time to try out a new recipe or bake a sheet of brownies. I love to eat a good snack and curl up on the couch on a dreary day. Best invite friends over so your not let alone with all the brownies.

5. Go for a walk. People passing in their cars may look at you funny, but if there's not lightning why not? It seems so out of the ordinary it might even feel a little liberating.

6. Organize your room, apartment or house. If you're gonna be inside all day you might as well tidy up a bit. I find organizing my life to be one of the most rewarding projects.

7. Break out the crafts. When I was younger I loved to paint. I was never any good, but I loved it. A rainy day indoors is a great time to let your creative side out.

What did you do on your last rainy day?
